Haunted bus stop where if you look at the little girl ghost mommy kills you.
Man goes to bus stop and doesn't pay attention to anything, but the ghost girl keeps trying to talk to him. He is oblivious to the fact that she is a ghost.
After months of ignoring her she finally gives up and stops trying to get his attention. He finally speaks up and says " not speaking tonight?" without looking at her.
The ghost girl looks surprised and says in ghostly voice " You are actually talking to me?"
Man says "Sorry, I have been having a hard time the last couple months." While looking across the street, " My father has been in the hospital because of an accident, my mother died in that accident." He closes his eyes, "For the last couple of months if feels like no one pays attention to me, I have been coming here because you actually talk to me. Even though I don't talk back."
Conversations ensue and they become friends. After many more months he finally looks at her. Ghost mommy goes to kill him, but after watching them become friends she decides not to kill this one yet. If she did, her daughter would lose her friend.

You know I'm half expecting that the next scene will be the guy striking up a casual conversation with the little girl. Would be an interesting twist on the whole "a murderous child suddenly appears".
