Description
This is the text for page three of my illuminated manuscript. This was partially done 1. for me to figure out the translation and grammar and shit for when I get to starting the design of page three (I had to convert the spoken translation to the written translation because, oddly enough they're slightly different), and 2. for NaCoWriMo set by which runs out today.Basic English translation is:
"First there will always be Ngunai (the chaos)
Within this place exist the Chaos Gods (the Menaphe Na'ne)
This was for all time, until Akaan, one of the Menaphe Na'ne, became aware of himself and all that is/will be/has been,
Upon Akaan's awareness of himself and the all, the first surface was created, (giving the borderless chaos borders - essentially creating the waters of Nun)
Akaan passed through this first surface into Ngaian (the place of dreams and half formed things),
where Akaan began to sing.
And from his song everyone was created
And from his song the Pillar Gods (the gods that stand between the surfaces) were created
And from his song the Ngaian Spirits (Underworld/dream creatures) were created
And from his song the next surface was created"
(The next surface is the physical world and the next page)

:3 That doesn't surprise me. The language isn't entirely made up, it's got something... else... in there... I can't explain it either, but I have met a number of people who recognise it in some way.

it has a bit of japanese sense, but not entirely, there is something more within

I'm excited to see the full illuminated manuscript. It sounds like a cool story, I like it a lot. It's funny how a bunch of us are doing creation stories for NaCoWriMo.

The full illuminated manuscript it going to take a long long time to be finished. I've got a lot of different myths to translate. It's looking to be a very big book indeed. But that's half the fun - the making of it. :3

That sounds awesome! I thought about writing down all of the myths that float around in my head, but never get around to it before I get distracted by something else. It's cool that you're putting so much work into it~ Stories, translations, illustrations....hmm, now you have me thinking about compiling stories. Which, now that I think about it, I have the perfect way of doing that.

And, no I didn't participate in the challenges.. mostly because I didn't know about them until afterwards. Have I watched you? I never know who I'm watching...
Perhaps if any new challenges could be posted on ? I'd definitely get them then. :3

No you haven't, but I know we're going to start posting the new ones on there (=SanguineEpitaph and I both agree it should wait until most people have NaCoWriMo in, so maybe one or two weeks till the next?). I may make a blog entry on #Conlangers about the old ones just to get them out there. C: I think it's a good thing in order to keep the group active.
