Description This one was done for a friends Birthday. He is a giger aliens nut, so I made an attempt at doing an H R Giger aliens head cake. The cake itself is a 5 layer devils food cake. I used a vanilla icing for the filing and tinted it a yellow green to match the colour of the aliens acid blood exactly from the movies and comics.
The outer shell is made from marshmallow fondant. The teeth and pincher tongue is made from gumpaste.
All of the final details and markings on the skin are painted with an airbrush. The whole cake is 100 percent edible.

Yes. I mix a little irony into the frosting. Its what makes it so sweet.

I absolutely adore this cake <3
Being an alien nut myself, this is an amazing find.
Can I trouble you and ask you how you made it..?
Its my 18th this year, and a xenomorph cake would just be.. Pfft, fantastic.

wow, well its tough to tell you everything without showing, but I'll do my best.
The cake itself I made on jelly roll pans to get the thinness and length of the layers I needed.
Then cut into long 5 inch wide strips and placed ontop of each other with icing in between.
The icing was a bought one that I tinted to look like alien blood(3parts bright yellow, 1 part bright green). Try to use a color paste instead of food coloring to preserve the consistency. Chill the cake then carve into a cylinder. Cover with a thick layer of marshmallow fondant, being careful to stretch the end and give the back a rounded finish.
The teeth and snapper were done in gumpaste a fews days ahead so they could harden. Then after airbrushing the fondant, I simply placed the teeth and snapper in the open front end like dentures.
The subtleties of doing something like this come with actually doing it yourself, but this covers the basics.
