Description
This is the end of the "Mickey's Rival". One of the few classic cartoons with these two that doesn't end in a kiss. Instead it's a friendly handshake, unlike "Mickey's Mechanical Man" haha. It's first appearance of Mortimer Mouse, he then disappears until the "House of Mouse" and "Mickey Mouse Works" cartoons. I wonder if he could have been in "Epic Mickey"? Fun Fact: Walt originally wanted to name his new mouse character Mortimer, after a pet mouse he had when he was little, but his wife convinced him to change it mostly because Mickey just sounds better. Anyway, the expressions were fun to draw since they contrast one another so heavily. This is my first drawing of classic Minnie and of any car I think. Now giving the car a face was a bit tricky, but I think the little fella turned out okay. I wonder if the car has a name?Mickey, Minnie, and the car belong to Disney.

I always have to lol in this short at how extremely peeved Mickey was throughout the whole ordeal, both at Mortimer for ruining their date, then at Minnie for not telling Mortimer to beat it! I mean his face here at the end just says it all, "So you still think that guy's funny?!" And he was just ticked! lol
I also laugh because when they're leaving in the car at the end, Minnie's sitting there trying to look all innocent like she didn't do anything to irritate Mickey at all.
You did a nice job recreating this scene!! Good work!

"You want that button?" haha, one good thing about it is that by the end of the cartoon we all see that Mortimer is just a rat, I'm glad you like Mickey's face because faces are usually my favorite part of drawing.

Haha, now I have to make a difficult decision, because I have just as many people I know saying "Donald's Diary" as I have voting for this one. I still have lots of time to decide though. (:

XD lol, yeah... sometimes its really hard to make a choice. But I recomend you to use the picture you most like from your artwork, after all you have to decide wich one you most like of them.
