Last but not least for Shark Week is the Greenland shark...with only one report of a person ever being attacked by one. Fast facts, they're the longest-living vertebrates of any animal ranging from age 335-512 years old, they're the size of a great white shark at 21 ft long, their meat is poisonous, and the parasite on its eye is called the ommatokoita. Despite being a parasite making the shark go blind, the Greenland shark isn't bothered by this since it has an excellent sense of smell. And it's more of a symbiotic relationship since the shark can use the ommatokoita as a lure for other fish to eat, so it's not all bad apparently.
