Description
I'm almost done with Book one of BAM, and so I decided to show you some of the illustrations I'm putting in the book. This is a good pic of Milo, right at the moment where Eric tells him where he's from . . . and then follows with "Oh, don't rack your brain, kiddo, it ain't on this planet."
Yes, he's dressed that way because he's in the Renaissance Like Ritanica. And No, Eric will break people's necks before they even think of requesting any Batman-Robin slash pairings with him and his Sidekick.
Eric is more of a Marvel type.

One thing I don't get is why you're making an alien planet's Renaissance-like era mirror Europe's, or why everyone seems to be wearing the standard tunic-and-leggings costume from every Ye Olde Tired Medieval Touriste Trappe ever.
I'm just curious here -- they're a completely alien culture, and if their +technology+ isn't mirroring that of our Renaissance, why should everything else?

Another item that I neglected to share here: Maatla has several continents, each with a different cultures. You got your Renaissance countries, your Scandinavia countries, your Wixua style countries, I even have an area resembling Arabian Nights.
The area where Eric crash lands in, known as Ritanica, is a region suffering from hard times. So hard in fact, that they actually regressed backward to the Medieval era. The short version of the story involved is told in Book 2.
Hey, these are very interesting questions, a refreshing change of pace from the usual criticisms I get. You might end up as a reference at the back of my books, dude
