I really like how you've made her smaller busted, so she's more realistically athletic, but still very sexy. She looks more like a fighter, sleeker and more powerful, which (imo) was always where most of her sex appeal came from anyways. All of the women in comics are big-busted and big-butted - that's not special. It's her physical prowess and brilliance to rival Batman's that made her the ultimate femme fatale, and slimming her down allows that part of her character to shine through instead of getting lost behind the cliche image of a woman of, erm, "exaggerated proportions" (lol). This Selina Kyle is *definitely* not less sexier than the traditional one. I'm trying to start a Batman graphic novel, and that's how I'm planning on designing her too. I'm glad to see someone else playing around with the same idea!

Wow I'm pleasantly suprised to see that someone noticed my intenional alteration of the "classical" design...hehe After all, she's a supervilain/superheroine or just an antiheroine, but definitely not a pornstar. So in my opinion there's no need to portray her with a huge cleavage/ big boobs... She doesn't need those "details" to be sexy and charming.
If you upload any page from that graphic novel you mentioned send me a note, I'd love to see it.

I totally agree. I know part of the character's background is that she's a prostitute, but that's supposed to be a past that she escaped by becoming Catwoman. Making her look (and dress) like a pornstar instead of a serious thief locks her into the "slut" role (really, who would have their boobs hanging halfway out while jumping off buildings???). The writers and artists over at DC though apparently don't get it. Have you seen the latest Catwoman comic book? You don't even see her face for the first two pages. It looks like her boobs are talking.
Comics are still stuck in a 1950s idea of sexuality. More of us unimpressed fans need to come up with art and comics like yours here so that DC will see that realistic characters are actually more enthralling and sexy than totally unrealistic characters that look like they got ripped out of a porn magazine.
I will definitely send you the link to my graphic novel as I start posting it. Since I'll never make money off of it, I'm going to post the whole thing here on DA. I added you as a friend so I can find you again.

I can't really blame the artists who draw her like that cause I guess they are instructed to do so. If there is demand, there is also a supply... The fans that worship the boobies are to be blamed...hehe I guess it's a matter of taste afterall. Personally I prefer more realistic characters that have only the necessary design elements, which help to convey their personality to the viewers.
