Wow this is amazing. I love this, although I am curious as to how this was created. What program did you use to create these? Excellent work of art.

Jumping on the bandwagon, minecraft has a lot of texture-related mods that allow all kinds of weird adjustments to the way the game renders.
I am doubtful this concept art can NOT be made in minecraft using one or two mods.

Hello, I think it's quite hard to make this a texture pack! This is more like a concept picture.. How do you mean exactly with "reddit has found it"? I knowe what reddit is, but what does they have to do with Minecraft?

Reddit has a Minecraft community called the Minecraft subreddit. 14 hours ago, someone from the community found this page and posted a link on the subreddit. The post was called "Make this a texture pack".
Here is a link to the post I am talking about: [link]

Ah, cool! thanks for telling me .. I also think it's quite good idea to post such thread on reddit since it's adapted specificly for discussions, what the deviantart comment section is not. One of my aims with the minecraft pictures was actually to start a debate of how the game could develope, which I apperently has succeeded with!

There are some pretty good texture packs, certainly as detailed as this. 512x512 anyone?
... you need lotsa RAM, but I don't see any issue with this.
