Thank you Mayumi! It's one of those things were you either texture everything, or you keep things more subtle. Like the fabric. I could have spent another 10 hours just putting the weave into the cloth
I really wanted certain things to pop more and keep other things softer so I'm happy it shows

hehe thank you! I'm useless when it comes to digital painting but one day I would like to learn. I'm happy you think my oils are that good! Thank you for the great compliment

Ha....I just noticed my spelling error.Β One, not once, sorry.
Totally my pleasure!Β I'm horrible with brushes.Β Can't paint worth a lick, but, give me a pencil of some kind, chalk pastels, or if pushed a pc mouse to draw with and I'm a happy camper.Β

haha, I'll forgive you! Some comments over the years have been unreadable (most of them my own! ), so adding a single letter is far from needing an apology!
I know what you mean about brushes. It takes a lot of getting used to. Especially coming from a watercolor background... my initial oil paintings were far from decent. I spent so many hours just re-working areas because I didn't have enough paint.
As long as you enjoy creating - it doesn't matter the medium!

Thank you Kim! The program I am in forces you to look and paint at all those details than I typically am used to. It's great practice and I love it!

I actually love oils, too. Β It was my starting medium, until someone gave me acrylics. Β It's been a temptation to go purchase a mini set of oils, just to have fun again. Β Your work brings back the nostalgia, and the love of the medium when I worked with it. Β
Definitely looking forward to more. Β

I find oils in a weird way to be easier than watercolors. I'm so used to how watercolors worked but now I don't think I want to look back!

Oils tend to be more forgiving, that's for sure. Β
They also open themselves up for 'ad libbing', and changing in mid-stream.
