Description
Important author's note:"This story is an alternate Star Fox storyline very similar to the original by means of characters and events. It will focus itself around the lives of- and the relationship between Krystal and David, StarFox' first and only human team member.
If you don't like Anthro/Human relations, I'd advise you not to read this story any further than this Prologue!
One more thing I have to say is that in the first three parts Krystal is being haunted by what happened to her parents and her home world. It causes her to become bitter (this will be explained in the Prologue), but inside she is still the kind and mild mannered person we all know. Don't worry; she will overcome her inner pain with David's help.
Spoiler: in this storyline Fox McCloud will develop a relationship with Lucy Hare, one of the major differences between this story and the original (Really? You wouldn't say). Since Falco is obviously into Katt Monroe, I thought why not let Fox have an interspecies romance? If you can't stand this either, don't read any further.
Another major difference is the Aparoid War; taking place two years after Star Fox Adventures instead of one.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy this piece of FanFic and that you can appreciate my vision of a StarFox with a human team member."

Star Fox: Earthborn
1st Installment
Prologue
Time: 3 months after events on planet Sauria
She was now a member of the team. With hard work, enduring pain and stress, Krystal had become an official member of Team Star Fox. The girl who hadn't had a home for years now had a room, her own clothes, her own weapons and even an Arwing air superiority fighter she could call hers. But still, she couldn't be happy like she once was…
When she lost her parents, her people and her entire planet those many years ago, she swore to avenge their deaths and to find the unknown murderers who were responsible. She drifted across space, looking for answers, until she reached the Lylat System. She came to the planet called Sauria in an attempt to investigate a distress call from the planet's inhabitants. Hoping she had finally found whoever destroyed her world, she instead walked into a trap carefully set up by a force which called itself 'Andross'. Despite his cruel plans, Krystal sensed that this dark spirit had nothing to do with what had happened in her past. Scared and on the edge of losing hope, she waited in her crystal cage.
After what seemed like an eternity, she was finally freed of her imprisonment by Fox McCloud, the leader of the Star Fox mercenary team. Gratefully she joined his side hoping she could find relief for her sorrow.
Fox saw in her a valuable addition to his team so he took her in, but he saw nothing in her request to help her on her vengeful journey. He denied her request, which left Krystal disappointed: Fox couldn't offer relief. She stayed with Star Fox nonetheless, for here she had a chance of a new life and a new home with new friends. Friends who, like Fox, couldn't care for her in the way she needed.
Krystal suffered more from her past then anyone could see. She had nightmares of Andross whispering in her head how pathetic her quest for answers had been and horrible dreams of her parents begging her to help them. Because of this, Krystal desired for a shoulder to rest her head on, to have someone listen to her pain. It angered her that she couldn't find this, it gave her the feeling she would indeed never get peace of mind. So she started telling herself she didn't need understanding for her feelings. She didn't talk to anyone about them; instead she cropped them up inside her. She hid her grief, but grief slowly became anger and anger eventually caused Krystal to become bitter instead…
…
The Star Fox team had flourished since their adventure on Sauria. Falco Lombardi had returned to their side and Fox McCloud taught the young Krystal everything he knew. Her experience in combat, her familiarity with a soldier's life and her telepathic abilities made that she became a worthy member of the team within two short months. In the first week of her training, she asked Fox to help her on some sort of quest for answers about her parents' demise. Despite Fox's principals, he said no because of the likely small chance of success.
However, Krystal's past did affect him. It made Fox remember the loss of his beloved mother, Vixy McCloud, and the fate of his father James McCloud, missing in action and presumed dead. Fox understood her grief and her desire for vengeance. And that was about all he could do for her.
Besided, Fox had contacts with Lucy Hare, Peppy's daughter. He'd known her since childhood; their fathers were close friends and both in the first Star Fox team. Fox and Lucy went to school together but their ways separated when Lucy entered the International University for Science and Fox entered the Cornerian Flight Academy. They however always stayed in touch and Fox held strong feelings for her. Peppy was glad to see those two childhood friends get along so well.
Falco was pleased to be hanging with his old buddies again. For Falco, his friends aboard the Great Fox were like his family. In fact, they were the closed thing to a family he had, although he would never openly admit it. His unquestionable position as ace pilot and replacing team leader was almost like a crown on his feathered head; his cocky personality and massive ego hadn't changed a bit.
With the fee from the Sauria mission, Slippy Toad repaired most of the Great Fox and the Arwings. They had been in dire state for years due to the lack of money. He also proudly spent time in developing a new weapon: a magazine fed assault rifle firing high power energy rounds. He called it the 'StarFox Combat Assault Rifle' or SCAR. Because of all the much needed repairs and research, the team quickly ran low on money again.
And so, the Great Fox kept on sliding through space, with the Star Fox team waiting for a mission to happen.
…
On a faraway planet, hidden in the Milky Way galaxy, lived a young man named David Mulder. He was just a human, among so many others. Not important to anyone except to his family and friends. He had asked himself many times what it was he really wanted to do, but he could never come to an answer. Maybe what he was looking for wasn't to be found on Earth?

I find it only natural to want to include yourself in a favorite series, but you've done more than this when you put thought to action. You actually got creative and realistic about it. You have this furry's approval, and as a fellow writer i congradulate you for boldly venturing forth to express yourself in the manner you see fit. ^_^

I know this is your fanfic and putting aside the Lucy/Fox pairing, a human just wouldn't fit in.
Esp if you intend to make a relationship between two deeper than "just friends" which is basicly beastality.
This is just my two cents of course and I do not want it to sound hostile in any manner.
