Description
Today we mark the International Day Against Homophobia. The date of May 17th was specifically chosen to commemorate the World Health Organisation’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.
We have achieved a lot since 1990, yet almost everyday we hear about Homophobic attacks world-wide. Terror groups killing young men found 'guilty of the crime of being gay'! Teens thrown away from home for being gay, Bi, lesbian... And Transgenders struggle to be accepted and respected - even within the gay community.
True, LGBTI people receive more exposure and visibility, yet we still don't have a gay super hero or a lesbian princess leading their own films and stories. For kids, who are our future, having LGBTI role-models to look up to is most important. While we all dream of this day, and with a movement calling Queen Elsa to come out of the animated closet, I can no longer wait for big-shot studios to be brave enough and decided to stop dreaming and start doing!
I am extremely proud to share with you the first image of a new project currently in the making, which we hope we'll see the light of day early 2017. And yes, this time the Prince gets the other Prince! #IDAHOT

I see the black square also... and unfortunately on a few other pieces, too. I am guessing it's a DeviantArt thing that 'protects' viewers from content while it is being contested. I really don't understand how they can consider Mr. Kawena's art censor-worthy... it is always quite classy and could easily fit with most classical sculpture wings of art museums.
His facebook page is down too, so hopefully nothing too bad has happened to him.
Wishing 2017 will be a good year for Mr. Kawena so he can resume creating his art and living a wonderful life!

This is amazing! But why is the prince looking so unhappy? Also why make Elsa gay? Disney should make a new Princess and or Prince character. I personally hate how all people (Gay or straight) think since Elsa had no male love interest she is automatically a Lesbian(she may be even Bi, for all we know). BUT I! personally think Elsa is above all that. She needs no one woman or male to complete her..all she needs her sister and their friends. That is it. I personally want a new Disney films and cast of characters, that explores gay/lesbian characters/storylines. Am getting tried of everyone saying "Meredith and Elsa are Lesbians" and people want to see them come out.

I'd love to know the story behind this. The prince looks so angry/indignant and the godlike fellow isn't looking him in the eyes and seems sad. So beautiful.

Deadpool is technicially Pan, and I think Mystique it Bi? And technically she is lead of the new XMen if you watch it, even though that is ooc for the character in the comics

I think this image looks fantastic! Really really interesting. And as a lifelong devotee of Disney and other animated film projects for kids, I can already see the backbones of a classic. The little animal side kick who's just too cute for words. Really great job! Can't wait to see this project come to fruition.
