This is perfect, and I do agree with you on the Prince Naveen incident. Okay, so he's not white...that's not bad at all! People Do fall in love with people of their own races, ya' know? The world hasn't gone completely biracial, and I see some good in that. BTW, AWESOME photo!
(Besides, Prince Naveen comes from Maldonia. That could be ANYWHERE, with ANY ETHNICITY!)

I absolutely loved the movie. The 2D was gorgeous. The characters were great too.
I especially loved Mama Odie. I swear she's just like my great grandmother xDD
I do understand both "sides" of the Naveen argument. Although, since Maldonia is a fictional place it's kind of silly to argue about his race. He may as well be an elf. And after watching the movie I don't think making Naveen black would have been a good choice. I don't think having the first black Disney prince being a "no account, philandering lazy bump of a log" would have been received well. Just saying. Especially because he'd be the first actual prince of African descent (and probably the only one for a while) xD
I can also understand why some people would be disappointed by the lack of a black Disney prince. John Henry, as awesome as that piece of animation is, it isn't a feature length film and other black male characters have not only been few but they've all been supporting characters: Sweets, Cobra Bubbles, James, and Dr. Facilier. And to be fair as a little girl, I definitely wanted a black princess. Not because I had anything against princesses of other races (I loved Ariel and Pocahontas), I just wanted a representation of a princess that looked like me.
Plus aside from James and Eudora there are no black Disney couples. There are already interracial couples. There's even interspecies couples (Bridget the giraffe and Benny the squirrel from The Wild). And there are Caucasian same race couples, an Arab couple, an Asian couple, a Hawaiian dating couple, but no black couples. In fact I don't even think there's a dark skinned same race couple, unless you count Aladdin and Jasmine. So yeah, that's why some people are/were upset.
I think ultimately Disney made the right choice to make the most people happy and offend the least amount of people. Plus Naveen is absolutely adorable. His grin is the bees knees xD

Beautiful Princess Tiana is to die for. Naveen was pretty hot himself if I do say so myself. I always thought he was of latino decent because of his accent. But anyway beautiful picture.

why does it really matter what color he is? We don't go around analyzing why the other Disney couples are the race they are. They're madly in love with each other and its so sweet! I think its refreshing to see a Disney couple whose love trandencends ( totally messed up that spelling but whatevy!) race
