The A34 Comet I cruiser tank served in the last few months of World War II in Europe and is considered to be possibly the best British tank of the war. Based on the Cromwell, the Comet also mounted a modified 17-pdr. gun. It is comparable to Germany's Panther. "Constant Comet" is a play on the name "Constant Comment," (non-British) tea.The Tank Museum
