I was just thinking about your painting, and I had to come back and gaze some more.
The thing I was thinking about was the backdrop: It is as if the cacophony in the foreground is on the stage of ancient human existance. The curtains suggest the stage; and the totems, regal and solemn, stand as a reminder of an ancient, sacred wisdom, long forgotten.
This is really brilliant. I'm sure I'll look at this again and again...

Dave! As expected, this is incredible! There is just so much to look at, and the expressions on the faces of the people! You have such an amazing ability to portray individual expressions in heated social environments.
I love the little mama's boy... And I love his mama's face. And the chugga-lugging cherub.. I love him, too. And is the fat lady singing? There is so much going on in this I can almost hear it... Great painting, Daveman!

As usual, Dave, I'm so damn impressed at your ability to portray such likeness in the people you paint! There is so much to see here, and so much delightful symbolism, I'm amazed that you could do it all on such a small canvas!
Who is the guy that is "screwed" in the forground - is that Fatty Arbuckle? You talent grows exponentially with every painting.

Vegas decadence. Really like the squid trying to take down the "whale" on the pool table. And of course, Sammy Davis as the devil. That guy was a character. So much detail on such a tiny canvass, I don't know how you do it. Must have tiny brushes, heh.

Excellent!!!!!! It looks great, beautiful colors! I love the expression of the screaming lady at the right and those columns with faces on them... your paintings seem to mix "realistic" stuff with more cartoonier/comic-book style type of drawings, I think that's so cool... the guy with the horns, is that Dennis Rodman?
