I really enjoyed being part of that show. I managed to sell on of my pieces which was great! There was a lot of good art there and I'm just happy somone went home with one of my pieces! I was invited back to show for bedtime stories, but I couldn't make the deadline. I see there is a new show coming up based on MAD which sounds exciting, but I wasn't invited to this one, hopefully the next one is a go. I hope they didn't take me off of the mailing list. If so I'll be sure to get back in touch as the exposure is good for me!

Yeah Ive been missing shows there too-and congrats on the sale! Ya know-I think if you did a MAD mag piece and sent them a pic of it theyd Love it, for sure.. They are really laid back and always get happy and honored when anyone puts forth the effort..I think they get "stiffed" alot by artists who "no-show", so theyre just happy when someone shows they're dedicated..Lookin forward to seeing what you cook up!!

I wish I had time to get one in. My day job has become more stressful and I find I've been painting a bit less lately. I think I'll drop them a line sometime this week just to let them know that I'm still interested in working with them. Hopefully I'll get in on the next show. I've made a little promise to myself to stop taking small jobs for a little bit so I can relax, collect my scattered thoughts and paint some things for myself. I really need to beef up my personal collection. I think if I continue to take on to many design jobs I won't have a chance to grow the way I'd like to. Its hard to turn the money down, but its what I need to do for myself. How have things been going for you. Need I ask really...you are insanely talented so I'm sure things must be good in your neck of the woods!

Things are good and its a constant work thing here with deadlines and stuff..Just had a solo show in LA and did good! .. [link] now its getting ready for the next shows as always.. I wish I could do what your doing and take a breather and just paint for myself-but I guess _ill just do what they want and add my own coolness like what Im creating is actually mine-haaaaa!

I wish I had the energy to keep at it like I was last year, but my day job is really killing it right now. I'm still trying to wrap around my head why so many people are quitting at the same time, it makes my life suck that's for sure! I'm tired a lot of the time but I've been trying to gear back up as I just had some more work come my way! Never a dull moment I swear!

Ohhh yeahh, me too. Sooo much. I believe Andrew Wyeth just died a couple of months ago, actually. This picture I have had on my wall for years. It is just one of those that sort of sucks you in isn't it. So peaceful.
You really have this exquisite imagination. Nothing I can say here you haven't heard before though.

Thanks Jen-Yeah i read he passed away reciently too-I was always so familiar with "christinas world" and had to research his other paintings, and theyre great too=He had alot of "southern gothic" type portraits of the town he lived in I remember.."christina" is not only his best=Its probably one of THE best

Just the thought of being anywhere NEAR the Little Lad is kind of unsettling, in a way..he's such a man/boy. Always acting coy and cute..and then flippin'the Freak Out when =you know whats around..haaaaaaa! I wonder if the real english/dutch boys worship b&Cream-like its some steriotype or some charles dickens shit that I dont know about..haa!
