Thanks for your comment. This photo was taken in the heat of summer just after Christmas. My daughter was standing under a high pressure sprinker. She did not know that she was being photographed so I was so pleased to capture such a natural moment.

Wow! That a real good photo, its not easy to capture natural emotion especially when its from children. The rain drops even add emotion to the picture, it gives the child the thought exploring and wonder what it is.
The color is really really good. And I like how the backdrop fits perfectly with the atmosphere. Great photo.

The lighting on this image is perfect. Is it natural to the photo or is it warmed up in editing?
She looks so amazed and happy and the dark background just makes her PoP!

Hi there. Thanks for your comment. There was wsome editing to this photo but the lighting was not changed. What I did was to create a vignette around the edges which means the corners are darker and this draws your eyes more to the middle. It is one of these photos where timing is everything and I was lucky to get it just right on this occasion. Amelie is my oldest daughter and she loves having her photo taken.

The watter is nicely caught and the girl expression also. My association with this shot combining water and joy is only one - summer. Therefore I think that the black underexposed background is not suitable for this kind of image. I know that it would be very hard to capture more light at the background. Moreover this would have lead to less contrast with the waterdrops, maybe just a little more enlightened background would have done a better job : )

Wow...such a wonderful shot! I love the froze in time appeal to it as the water really stops the motion. The lighting is perfect! The girls face is perfectly light to show her expression...Again, a great shot that freezes time and motion!

I was so pleased with how this came out. I used a relatively fast shutter speed to freeze the water. My daughter was jumping around and I had to wait for the right moment to take the shot.
