Mine (favorite) is the 2K with dual ER PPC

The 2K Shadow Hawk? That has a single PPC. Are you thinking of the K2 Catapult? My favourite Shadow Hawk is just the standard 2H.

I wasn't clear enough,sorry. On MWO the 2K with double ER PPC has proven to me to be the most reliable sniper mech I have ever piloted/played.
All of the variations are good for that role by the way.
The standard configurations are all good and make sense on a tactical board game, but the are usually terrilbe on FPSs.
The possibility to customise a mech or a full lance is what makes the fun.Β
