Oil painting on canvasΒThis is my version of the painting featured at the start of the TV series Sharp's Rifles
The original artist is unknown, and the whereabouts of the painting a mystery.
It needed to be shot again when the DVD box set was produced in high resolution, so the film company commissioned another artist, Garry Cartwright to re create it.
I bought a print of the piece (not from here) as I liked the painting, but the quality was not good, so I decided to paint it myself.
Hopefully I did the painting justice.
