Well for those who have seen my posts in the past...I am part of a sketch club in Burbank, Ca. We meet every Monday @lunch and sketch local passerbys,coffee junkies,etc..@ the end of each session we pick a person that we mark, and then go back to our desks and do a memory sketch. Its great practice to see what we come up with.WE have decided to try something different here @Sketch Club East...something to differ us from the original Sketch Club on the westside.... We now take our mark and one of the members comes up w/a theme to put our character in.So we use the same character,etc but put them in the designated theme, change costume,etc. Although, we still aim for likeness in the face. It helps our memory and stimulates our imagination @ the same time. This weeks theme was by Kelsey Mann, a maid, nanny,etc.... and here is my sketchenjoy

the concept is great, life drawing with a twist. are the sketch clubs you mentioned run by anyone or is it just a group of friends practicing? it sounds like fun anyhow, i might try and start one here although i think there is only one starbucks in belfast. hmmn .... will investigate.

just start one...its not an official thing...if there are other artists you hang with just start doing it and get a free blog @ blogpsot.com to post your stuff
