Man this is wonderfull!

where did you found flatten variation?its missing from my aposhack plugin pack

Thank you

Now for your question

I really don't understand the dynamics of flatten except it's integral to the newest versions of Apophysis. It's like new linear is a part I don't understand but is integral for linear 3D, I check all parameters by using older versions of Apophysis. I updated the parameters using
Apophysis 7x6 and the new linear is not present. It happens mainly when I use Xaos in the new versions. Go figure?

What I do know based on Apophysis7x15c, Some parameters are unusable in older versions of Apophysis if that is all you have.

Flatten is a setting in 15C that tells Apo to treat Linear & Spherical (maybe more) variations as plain(flat) or 3D.

Ahh, I thought it looked like spherical.

I love the monochrome, I never seem to make them though.

Thanks Molly. I have another using foci which turned out well, I'm still experimenting. So who knows where it will go? It's fun. Mike

Hmm, foci, that can be a fun one. It isn't a go to variation for me, but challenges with it have been interesting.
