These are approximately ages old. Ages = weeks.Props to for guessing what my test page was all about. Yes, I won't let it die, I miss Primal Rage and want it back. Chris Geis wrote the first story for this ages ago, after reading this [link] before it cost $40. He isn't really following his own comic book endeavors these days... regardless, it's still a good script, and we'd both like to resurrect interest in the property somehow. How? Not sure yet, but I'm certain if I keep 'er going, it'll involve lots of money.
So since this is more or less a side project, I of course have lots of complete and near-complete pencilled pages sitting around my art board right now. And one colored. Seems to be how I work.
Anyway -- what I have here are some early sketches for Keena Amali, Malyssa Wysteria, and even Talon and Diablo. I really like the demon/t-rex look especially, and will likely keep most of those elements for Diablo. I like older Keena's overall look, but I've decided to throw a bit more realism into my final artwork.

Oh my god. I fell in love with Primal Rage back in my childhood days (because I was in dinosaurs, and watching dinosaurs maul dinosaurs was pretty epic.) I bought Primal Rage issue #1 the month it came out and to this very day it is still in mint condition in one of my comic book folders. Knowing there was to be a sequel, I was ecstatic about it and eventually disappointed when I found out decades later it was canceled.
Looking back on it, Malyssa Wisteria's anatomy was funky in a Rob Leifield way; twisted unrealistically thin waist, but she had a beautiful face. Oh 90's anatomical exploitations you never disappoint me so.

Did you know there's a petition to get "Primal Rage 2" released...
And there's talk that if we show Atari that there's still an interest out here among us fans they may end up doing A Next-gen Remake of the first one.

Heh, looks a bit like my interpretation of Diablo. Cool. The only issue I see with the dinosaurs is that the ears are too far forward. There's a very pronounced orbit behind a theropod's *meat eating dinosaur* eye, covered by a bulge of skin. Order it like this: First the nose, then that huge sinus cavity in the snout, then the eye, then the fourth opening, and then the ear.
Otherwise, they both look great. It's cool to see someone else injecting a little realism into these designs.

Since the character of Primal Rage are more kaiju than actual dinosaurs, accuracy isn't that much important, I think.

I love this game! I had it and played till the cartridge actualy started to smoke. ANd those cartridges can smoke alot I mean 6 packs a day. Any who Love the artwork must find Comic and I can garuntee I will do all I can to get interest going in this.

talon+ spinning blade attack spam=instant win .......seriously I'd piss my little brother off every time I picked talon because he could never find a way around that attack, not even the flaming teleportation move diablo uses which he loved to spam would work X3

In my book, dinosaurs jumped up several rungs on the cool ladder when it was discovered that they had feathers. But I guess I'm biased, being a bird-nerd and all ...

My favorite character had to be Armadon, then Chaos the Stink Monkey XD. Great job with the characters, I never got to read the paperback or look a the comics so i partially dont know what you be talkin bout lol, but it really looks like you converted Talon into a human girl, and you did a great job with that.

Are these human characters was Based off of The Primal Rage II that never existed?

Yep. Mostly, I spoze. There was no need to recreate what was intended for the sequel, but there are additional characters needed besides them to make it interesting. The main pro/antagonists are all canon... This all based off the first couple pages of script that I do have.
The Sirius comic didn't include those characters because it was published, I believe, a full year before the game was to come out. Then of course, it got cancelled. Then John wrote the paperback. There may be characters in this that were in the paperback, I don't know.. haven't read it. But I do know that Keena is around 14 or so when this story begins, and that apparently wasn't the case in the book.

Primal Rage was an amazing game. I remember when I had it for SNES, right around the time that all kids my age were obsessed with dinosaurs XD

I always was a fan from Talon and Diablo. This were the coolest characters in the game. But the T-Rex was stylish, too.
A comic about Blizzard? Wait... wasnΒ΄t Blizzard the white monkey? o_ΓΆ'
I wouls prefer a comic about the dinosaurs more, but it anyway sounds cool.

I also recall remembering the video game called Primal Rage...I found it to be an interesting game because it was a fighting game where players would use dinosaur characters instead of the usual humans....but i didnt kno there was a comic book too.

There WAS one attempt at a comic... I think Sirius put it out ages ago. It was mostly focused on Blizzard, from what I remember. It was neat, tho. Chris' script is based around Keena and the humans, but there will be plenty of dinos too. You can't have a serious comic book without dinosaurs, afterall...
