Hey, guys! Time for another meme. So today I wanted to do a 'positive' meme. Not sure if to do the evil twin meme of this since there aren't a lot of characters that I used to like but now dislike, so let's focus on this meme okay? And get ready for some surprising characters there. Some who happen to be characters who are my favorite from the fandom. So here we go...

10. Taichi "Tai" Kamiya (Digimon)
Why Did I Hate This Character? The reason why I used to dislike greatly Tai was because of two very stupid reasons....Okay, everyone...get ready to apply palm to faces. The two reasons why I hated him was because of his design and because I thought he was a rip off of Ash Ketchum, who in my little girl mind, thought was the coolest character in all existence. And in my six year old mind, I thought Tai was ugly.....Yeah, I was a real work of art.
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? Simple. I actually grew up and decided to give this character a try when I watched Digimon again at age 12. I grew to like him and found him to be interesting and to be honest, I actually like his design now too. Heck, I even like him more than Ash, and prefer the Digimon anime a little more than Pokemon (nothing against Ash or Pokemon, as I do like the both of them.)

9. Stella (Winx Club)
Why Did I Hate This Character? Winx Club is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I know the seasons aren't as good as before but I can't find it in my heart to not like it anymore. But anyway, Stella, when I first watched this show, was to me, a bitch. I absolutely hated her. I thought she was nothing but a bitch. I thought she had no redeeming qualities. I had this black and white morality that uber-sweetness was good but so much as even a snarky comment was the worst.
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? Once again, this included rewatching the series first off and I realized that there was more to Stella that I didn't really pay attention too. Sure, she can be a bit dramatic and snooty, but she can also show that she has a kind heart and she had depth to her character, from wanting to be a fairy just so she can help lovers resolve their problems and was at one point being willing to risk her beauty so she could save an entire species. Not to mention that she's greatly devoted to her friends too.

8. Rei/Raye Hino (Sailor Moon)
Why Did I Hate This Character? Once again, another favorite character of mine on this list. To me, I thought Rei was a totally fucking bitch. The worst, whenever she got on the screen to get angry, I wanted to punch her. Especially with how she was a bitch to Sailor Moon...
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? Well, looking back, she was like that for a reason. She had to be this tough girl who had to scold Sailor Moon whenever she did something stupid. I mean, if the entire world depended on this immature, childish girl who won't woman up and all she can do is give her stupid temper tantrums, I'd be beyond pissed off too like Rei/Raye was. Not only that but Raye/Rei also is a fucking bad ass too. And in addition, also has her sweet moments.

7. Heather (Total Drama)
Why Did I Hate This Character? You all know the drill... she eliminated my favorite character and didn't get booted off, God she's such a bitch, why can't she just get her neck broken, why don't the Gophers eliminate her all ready?!
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? The miracle of character development. She got her time to shine in Total Drama World Tour and showed a nicer side, while still being competitively fierce and was able to win against her own match. Not only that but she also has some funny one-liners too even in Total Drama Island. Say what you want about this girl, but to me, she's the real winner of Total Drama World Tour.

6. Diamond Tiara (My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic)
Why Did I Hate This Character? Let's keep this short and simple. She was a generic bully number whatever and the fact she bullied Scootaloo about her possible condition.
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? Her character development in one episode which explained a lot...oh gosh, I felt so bad for her...and especially when you consider that Spoiled Witch, I mean Stupid Rich, I mean Stupid Bitch, would influence a lot from her personality. I mean think about it. Do you really think Stupid Bitch wouldn't resort to insulting disabilities to make herself feel better? So it was sweet to see Diamond Tiara reform her character.

5. Angelica Pickles (Rugrats and Rugrats : All Grown Up)
Why Did I Hate This Character? Like Diamond Tiara and Heather, I thought she was just a bully with no redeeming characteristics of herself.
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? She did get nicer as the seasons went by, and arguably more funnier too. In addition, you can argue that her spoiled attitude comes from the lack of attention she gets from her parents. Yeah, they spoil her but in the words of Grandpa Joe Bucket, "no good ever comes from spoiling a child like that..." and it shows with Angelica. In addition, she also showed signs that she is capable of caring for someone other than herself (see the episode where she thought she was moving) and remorse (when she felt bad for making that scheme with Coco in the Paris movie). So we should give Miss Pickles a bit more credit.

4. Gary motha-fucking Oak (Pokemon)
Why Did I Hate This Character? He was kind of an arrogant jerk in the beginning of the anime and the video games and how he annoyed Ash and his group by making him as this kind of God when it wasn't the case. He was this annoying kid who reminded you of those bullies who thought they were all that.
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? At least he wasn't "all bark and no bite" and he showed he could sometimes back up that "I'm a badass" attitude of his. He also got character development and became more mature, especially in the games where he is now a gym leader in Kanto.

3. Tom (Tom and Jerry)
Why Did I Hate This Character? In my little girl mind, he was always chasing that poor mouse Jerry when he shouldn't have and how he was such a "bully".
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? This is where Designated Villain comes to play. I've mentioned this in my unintentionally likable/sympathetic characters meme. Maybe in half of the episodes, he can be a bit of a jerk, but in the other half, he's just a cat who is doing his job of kicking out some mouse who won't leave his owner's job alone. How would you feel if someone freeloaded in your house and they somehow manage to get away with it? Also, in some of the episodes, where he is the actual antagonist, he still shows signs of being a good guy though it all and even teams up with Jerry on occasion.

2. Pacifica Northwest (Gravity Falls)
Why Did I Hate This Character? In the words of Mabel....
: "YOU WALKING ONE-DIMENSIONAL BLEACHED BLONDE VALLEY GIRL STEREOTYPE!"

How Did I End Up Liking This Character? Her character development in the series was superb. Like Diamond Tiara, Pacifica has shitty as fuck parents. She also has this really adorkable awkward side to her in the episodes she got her character development too. Her friendship/partnership with Dipper showed that really sweet side to her and the way she stood up to her parents is awesome. Not only that but she kind of has some funny snarky one-liners...

1. Courtney Gripling (As Told By Ginger)
Why Did I Hate This Character? I'm tired of giving the same reason but I used to think that she was nothing but an annoying alpha bitch and Dodie and Macie were her only friends.
How Did I End Up Liking This Character? Rewatching the series can help a lot in maturing, trust me. I ended up realizing that she is actually a really good friend to Ginger, especially more so than Dodie wishes that she can ever be. Sure, she was a bit airheaded and sometimes snobby, but she also showed a sweet side to Ginger, being willing to hang out with her even though Ginger was not popular at all. Heck, she was even the one who foiled the scheme of Dodie, Macie, Miranda, and Mipsy trying to break up Ginger's relationship with Darren. I can't believe she had to lose her money at the end...here's to hoping she eventually managed to win it back and that she and Ginger remained good friends as adults! ~
