Thanks!
Not nuff Starbucks! Only yesterday I saw a corner without a single one!
(Actually, there are maybe 50 in Turkey, plus another 50 of similar chains. Nothing, really.)

i imagine turkey would have
some eclectic coffee houses
and yummy desserts.
i used to go to a jazz club that always
played the best live music.
they served wonderful pots of mint tea
and assorted cheese sandwiches
and a turkish coffee.
they had no liquor license so the turkish
coffee was code for a good black coffee with
a shot of whiskey, rum or what ever liquor
they had on hand. it was the only 4 buck item
on the menu which was a steep price at that time

Lol, that does sound Turkish alright. Not the coffee + alcohol, but the tendency to bend the rules.
The typical Turkish coffee house is actually a tea house, male only, not much food, and lots of cigarette smoke. Ofc, there are patisseries, more European cafes, esp. in cities and touristy areas.
