Very striking use of composition and colour. I feel as if the structure of this image appears very intriguing and immediately captivating; the regularity of the objects' postures at first appears rather simple and almost geometric; the perfectly front-on view of the jug and lamp in particular conveys quite the sturdy, set feel to the image.
The regularity of the shapes provides a very strong impact with the use of material and colour; the glass jug really appears very distinct and the sharp, black blocks of the lamp's structure very sturdily convey its form.
Quite the refined, picturesque apparel is portrayed with this use of angle whilst also reinforcing the impact of the image very powerfully with how directly all the elements stand.

Of course, the use of the focal point in terms of the flame is very powerful, with only really the leaves contesting the amount of brightness seen in the fire. This very distinct sense of concentration paired with its off-centre composure is very intriguing, adding quite the dynamic feel to the image.

The use of the darker, colder tones as well is highly effective; not only does this chilly, drab colour scheme reinforce the bright warmth of the light, but paired with the rain quite the desolate atmosphere is conveyed.
Interestingly, the darkest section of the piece, seen with the lamp, also happens to house the brightest point of the image, of course at the flame, and this use of contrast creates a very powerful apparel, the two conflicting moods very potent indeed.

However, of course, the symbolism captured within the objects has to be the most prominent and striking feature of this piece.

With the previously mentioned conflicting, contrasting moods, the lamp seems to be this shrouded tower - it's dark frame appears almost like an enclosure to the flame of which brightly glows, yet is contained equally strongly.
The way it's hoisted above the ground with its plinth of blackness adds that very captivating sense of elevation, adding a significant amount of diversity to the image's composition. It also further implies that prison-like sense of confinement and entrapment to the lamp - the small essence of the flame is made very restricted, risen above everybody else like a cherished prize never to be touched.

Paired with the dreary, cold colours and heavy rain, the need for this small spot of warmth is heightened; as mentioned before, it's the epicentre and focal point of the entire scene, each object and each element trying to reach and shelter in its flickering flame, away and safe from the neglectful cold that so plagues the desolate scene.

Upon the introduction of the glass jug and twigs, I feel as if this desire for warmth is conveyed even more strongly. It's as if the branches are trying to bend over and reach for the light - their fanning stalks grasping and clawing at the glass jar, their leaves desperate for warmth - yet, alas, the dark prison of the lamp and the jail-like glass bell that traps the flame isolates any outside influence, and leaves the twigs to shrivel and wilt in hopeless desire.
The way the twigs themselves are of similar colour to the dreary rain and lamp implies that perhaps they have been out for a long time now, their hopes long lost as they've just faded and died, becoming victim of the cold and turning into the background.

These corpse-like branches add such a powerful feel to the lamp; the impression of how contained and trapped the flame is is reinforced significantly, the dead arms of the plants almost as testament to the unreachable warmth, like skeletons in a dungeon testament to its danger.

Supporting this furthermore are the leaves and twigs that are scattered and lain beneath the lamp; it's almost as if these too were desperately trying to take shelter in the warmth but, inevitably, ended up failing and again submitting to the relentless cold.

Going back to the levels of height, the fact that the glass jar is so much lower than the lamp really reinforces this desperate atmosphere, as if the twigs are trying so hard to reach into the container, just desperating trying, for it seems to be so close...

Truly this is such a powerful depiction of desperation.

The use of light and colour in combination with the composition of the objects is very confronting; the image doesn't just look nice, it tells an engaging story.
That's what I really feel like you've done well with in this shot; the symbolism captured in the dramatically cold landscape paired with the spark of warmth is simply magnificent, and leaves the audience to interpret it in their own way.
Images like this - very suggestive, kind of vague and highly symbolic, I really do enjoy viewing, and for that reason of which allows the audience to essentially put the image into their personal context. It's flexible, and in this particular shot I feel as if you've really done great in expressing the theme of neglect, cold, desolation, and hope - using those cold and warm colours very nicely with the composition to create a very confronting atmosphere for the symbolism to run through.

Who knows whether or not the twigs will reach the fire, after all? Perhaps they will wilt and fall like their deceased company, the flame kept in an eternal prison, perhaps never to share its warmth, standing there as the world succumbs to desolate cold.

Perhaps.
Awesome work!
