I did some changes to the surfaces and lightsafter following some advice some of you gave me.
What do you guys think of this one?

looks the some really. Just a little diffrent scene and her face now visible. it's not how iray look you do something wrong. Did you check videoi gave you?

I added Iray base to everything she suggested
everything in the apartment the apartment walls and the characters and their clothes.I also added the skin tone material for the Iray of
Genesis2 figures.I also added a spotlight to lighten the shadow on the one lady's face. I also increased the illumination of the two light planes, the one on top, and the one on back.The only thing I did not use was a Light Sphere. I only used the light setup with that came with the apartment, and the spotlight.

Iray must looks much diffrent from 3dlight even with basic textures. Are you sure you choice Nvidia Iray in the editor tab of render settings? Also check Advanced settings of render setting tab. Is there GPU checked?
Your videocard is NVIDIA?
Did you see Iradiation is writen dialog durung rendering?
