Wow, I finished this one back in August and forgot to post it. It's probably my favorite panting from last year.
I made it based on this idea for a story where the only fast way to get information across two allied nations were sending children over the mountains on goats carrying letters. It would be fun to write it sometime.Β Β

Sounds like a fun story, like a fantasy version of the pony express. There was a TV series back in the 80's that was set in the west and focused on a particular group of young men (one girl) learning to ride for the pony express and their adventures.
This is an excellent painting, I like your style and the sense of urgency and danger it captures.Β

The TV show was a good concept, but cheesy production on a low budget. It only had one season. The name of the series is "Young Riders."
