On Tumblr, Ortensia was asked if she ever met Fanny before, so this was her response:

"Yes I’ve met Fanny, back when Wasteland was new. Oswald and I were on our way to the park, to enjoy a nice picnic together. Then all of a sudden Oswald began acting a bit weird. He kept insisting that we should change our plans and go somewhere else, trying to drag me away from the park. I wasn’t sure what was wrong with him, never in my life have I seen Oswald act the way he did that day. Suddenly I heard a female voice calling Oswald’s name, and when I turned back towards the park I saw a young female rabbit running towards our direction. I got upset when Oswald didn’t stop walking, I knew he heard her and found it so rude that he kept ignoring her. So I stopped, hold Oswald’s hand tightly, and forced him wait for the poor young rabbit to arrive.

I soon learned why Oswald was trying to avoid her so much. Her name is Fanny Cottontail, she is an old friend and ex-girlfriend of his. She explained that she used to appear in a few shorts with him, but soon left her acting career to become a nurse. Since she was always busy working, she really never had time to be with Oswald anymore. That’s when they decided to break off their relationship.

I knew Oswald felt very uncomfortable with Fanny's reunion, especially with me there. I really didn't mind though, she is so nice and we both have so much in common.

I invited her to our picnic (to Oswald’s disappointment), and spend the day getting to know each other.

We soon became good friends, and meet up once in a while." <3
