Lately, I've been receiving notes of many fans criticizing my work, of how older Lilo looks like an exact clone to Nani.Here's two things I'd like to point out:
1) In the episode skip, it has been confirmed that Lilo would look so much like Nani. I quote on quote Lilo, "I look a little like Nani". Even Stitch later in the episode says Nani's name when he sees Lilo.
2) Why is it that many are whining of how similar they look, but don't say anything of Lilo's super clone daughter in the anime??
Well, not that i've heard of.
It's hard enough to even give Lilo her own unique look, without her looking like Nani. So please give me a break. ( this isn't towards everyone, just those who were bothering me).
To refresh my angry little mind, I've decided to use this argument for a short funny comic. I'm planning to do another one with Toothless and Stitch.

I could always tell the difference. Lilo's eyes are wider and her bottom lip is fuller and top lip is thinner.

This is awsome! It is ridiculous that people are giving you so much bs over making LILO, pretty much, look like LILO! I mean for crying out loud it's already been confirmed that she is going to look like her sister, which I think is cool and realistic because most sib bling look alike anyway, and I agree with you on the whole "clone daughter" thing, I mean wtf, it's ok for LILO to have a twin sister like daughter , but not a sister who happens to have simalor physical traits? O-o

They're sisters. It would make sense that they look a lot a like.

I don't really understand why people would complain about this. Lilo and Nani are sisters so it makes sense that as Lilo gets older she would look a little like her sister but there's still enough differences to tell them apart such as hair, clothes, personality and the fact that Nani is much older than Lilo. A lot of real life siblings, especially if they are the same gender, would look very much a like because they share the same genes as their parents. Yes sometimes siblings can look very different from each other to where you might not even realize they're related in the first place but that's something different all together.
Also what exactly do they want you to do to make Lilo look completely different? You can't just go and change her facial features especially if you want to stick to the original style of the movie/TV series. And you don't want to make Lilo wear or act a certain way that would seem too OOC for her even as her older self. Frankly I just wouldn't worry about it.
Though I will say at least the complaints gave you the idea to make this comic so that's one positive.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
First off, the both come from the SAME family. When you're related to someone, you happen to share similarities with them. Even more so since they're sisters. Secondly, they don't even look that much alike. Lilo still pertains her bangs and her hair is longer and straight, while Nani has shorter bangs and a more wavy texture to her hair.
People have to be blind to complain about how Lilo looks like her sister -_-

I think people are not complaining about the super clone daughter because of the anime was pretty much BS anyway. But with Lilo I think it's not the same kind of face but the hairstyle and clothing etc that resembles Nani and people don't agree with that. (??????)

An I understand what you saying about clone lilo daughter , which sadly made stitch look stupid for think lilo was still a child, when he knows! that his lilo would be older or wouldn't never stay a child forever.

I actually think it makes sense that they would look similar. Genetics and everything. However, in the way that you draw your older version of Lilo, there's still very much those characteristics that still feel like Lilo in how she's drawn.

You know, i always get angry when people confuses me in old photos with my ten years younger sister. And my mom says a teacher in middle school used to confuse her with my aunt...
Face it people: must sisters look like they are clones. blame sharing the parents' DNA

In their reunion episode, Lilo has a daughter (well not really, it's literally Lilo but with different patterns in her dress), which is the one Stitch believed it was the Lilo he knew and hangs out with throughout the episode. The original Lilo (obviously older) doesn't come out until the end.
