Leila loved music, but her favorite music was that made using the harp. She had many different types of harps from all over the world and was an expert at playing them all. When she had first heard of the recycler she of course thought it was crazy...but the idea lingered in her head. “Enter the recycler and become a harp” One day she convinced herself and she went over to the facility and signed up for the procedure for a week.

When her day had come up she entered the facility with extreme nervousness. The woman at the desk was nice and calm and instructed her to the room they picked out for her. Inside the room the walls were nice and ornate and the floor was soft carpeting. Though the only other thing in the room was a small chair. The woman instructed Leila that once she became a harp someone would come in and play her, Leila’s heart skipped a beat.

She was asked to disrobe and stand in a pose she liked, they would then begin on her command. The woman left and Leila begrudgingly disrobed. It took her a few minutes to get settled but when she calmed down, harp music began playing. She began to think about the way she felt whenever harp’s music played. Unconsciously she lifted her left leg, flared out her left hand and assumed a demure pose. “I’m ready”, she said.

There was a slight humming sound and Leila found herself suddenly unable to move, but she didn’t mind. A shiny gold tint began crawling up her legs, vitrifying her from flesh and blood, to material. Meanwhile a large piece of her hair began floating and stretching, forming the arc the harp. As her hair reached the end, strands of hair began stretching downward and were turned into strings. Some strings even formed in the arc her legs made, and some even ran through her fingers. It wasn’t long now as slight cracking noises could be heard signaling her complete conversion. Leila was flesh no more, and now a beautifully crafted harp, with a peaceful smile and demure pose.

A little bit afterwards a woman in a lovely black dress came into the room, pulled up the small chair and began playing Leila. It was an unimaginable feeling, and the music she produced was heavenly. “Aah you sound amazing Leila” said the woman. She then got up and walked out of the room. Leila was set to be here in this room for a week, as music enthusiasts would come to play her, all captivated by her illustrious tune. After the week was up Leila resigned up for an entire year. Rumor has it you can hear the harp playing herself at night.
