I don't see anything wrong with his eyes, but I agree with you that his hair looks a bit short and maybe too sharp. Something looks weird too with his right biceps (left in the image) and his left hand (maybe the foot, too)... but I assume the original was drawn this way.

Very good job, excellent lines and colors.
