Description
When paging through the Public Domain Super Heroes website [link] , I came across a series of Open-Source Characters from something called “Outworlder”. Here is my reinterpretation of these characters as a cartoon; all done, from roughs to finished product, with GIMP [link] … an open-source image program for some open-source characters!I based this image on, what I imagine to be, the first Outworlder cover: [link]
Front and center we have the armored, titular character OUTWORLDER [link] redesigned to be a bit sleeker. The mercenaries in the lower left of the image include an energy sword wielding CYBER-KNIGHT [link] , a cybernetically enhanced BATTLE-CRY [link] and POWERBALL [link] . A “pulpy” take on JACKPOTT [link] can be found in the lower right corner (I really like the way he came out).

BTW, any chance one could use this pic on the PDSH Wiki for these characters as a reference? B/c, not to be mean to the original creator, this makes them a whole lot more interesting than the original art...

these characters are his own interpretation of the original i think you may need his permission to use his versions. you can re-imagine the originals like he did too

I love how many of them are District Attorneys during the day and crimefighters at night, at least 80% of them! Who knew The Spider was public domain??? Too cool. I'd love to do some comic stories of one of these characters revamped.
