Personally I don't mind what's going on, but lots of people are pretty upset with what is transpiring. This is probably how they feel.Tried some different things with the word balloons.

I doubt anyone was paying attention to Twilight's character development. There were signs, subtle as they were, that this was going to happen. As if that wasn't enough, Magical Mystery Cure was written November 2011. This was gonna happen either way.

From what I've heard, the writing team was actually forced to make Twilight a princess by the higher-ups at Hasbro because they wanted to launch a line of Princess Twilight merch. that they believed would appeal and sell well to da kids.
I'm actually quite pleased with how well they've done with the concept, even if it was forced initially.
