From looking at the camo covers of the helmets, I would say these are actually US Marines during WWII and would fit more into a Pacific War style scene then in the snowy Ardennes , but that is a nice image never the less.

Thanks.  I thought it was snow camo on their helmets, actually.

Well, the US Marines used a reversible camo cover for their helmets, one side had a green leaf pattern, the other a brown one that was also known as "Beach camo". It was given out together with the M1943 camo suit that was used by the Marine Raiders mostly, that also came in both green and brown variants. The camo was later used for the various Duck Hunter camos. If you check my gallery, there is a Camo folder, I should have textures from it in there if I am not mistaken.

The US Army did not had a effective snow camo like the Germans did in WWII (German units had all white snow suits and "white washed" helmets and weapons), so many soldiers improvised by using bed sheets and such that they put over the clothing, as well as making white helmet covers out of them.

Yes that looks about right. Do these models only come with this one type of web belt?

Oh no, they have a few different "Gear" bodygroups.

Okay, then now it is getting a bit complicated because: Soldiers/Marines with the M1 Garand used the M1923 Cartridge belt, basically a belt that had pouches on it that held the clips for the Garand. Then there was the BAR Belt for BAR gunners (Had large pouches for bar magazines), a regular belt without any pouches where you could attach the M1 Thompson/M3 grease gun magazine pouches as well as the M1 Carbine pouches to as well as the M1911 pistol pouch. There where also rifle bandoleers as well, a pouches for grenade as well as packs for rockets and whatnot as well
