I think I might be playing the game Alan Wake too much. The guy is starting to turn up in my dreams, and in strange scenarios too. In this one, the darkness is not created by the Dark Presence, but rather one of Wake's old friends (not Barry) who Wake has somehow turned into a dragon. This dragon breathes darkness instead of fire and he's the one wreaking havoc on Bright Falls. He can also transform into a smaller dragonoid to get up-close and personal to Alan to taunt him, constantly telling him he's going to make him pay and blaming him for turning him into a dragon and causing all the deaths in Bright Falls.=Sources=
