(A creation of Nemesishero123 on the designs of a background engine)Shortly after the events of 'Thomas the Tank Engine and just as the Fat Director was rechristened the Fat Controller, a new shunter was ordered from a engine workshop to take over duties from Thomas as the station pilot.
A design of unknown origins, Blake took his job with enthusiasm. Sometimes a little cheeky, something perhaps he picked up from Thomas, in the case of the 'bootlace' joke to James (See Story 3, Book 3), he also takes pride in the job.
After the events of James & the Express, Blake was transfered to another yard, nothing had been heard from him ever since.

We're not quite sure. Matthew had very little go on, it was done on the basis of the tank engine you see in the background of illustrations 2 and 3 of Troublesome Trucks
