I just watched that not too long ago! It got me by surprise! Kinda mixed on it, on one hand it has the old version as a change, but then again it just seems odd
Either way, this, The Hunger Games movie and the new Shinedown album come out in March and my birthday's on March 29th so I guess it's a fun chain of coincedances

I think they used him for two reasons:

1. Was going to be in Universe
2. More realistic means more fitting... I guess

Which is probably why Pacman is piloting a Mokujin mecha.
