Description
A collaboration with fellow deviant Baldmonk, we did this a few years ago now. The idea was this was the teaser poster for the ultimate movie crossover (that nobody asked for) combing our two characters Danger Cat and Mutt against the forces of evil and tyranny. You can see the taglines now - It's reigning cats and dogs!Credit where credit's due too: I only drew the rough pencil sketch that was the basis of this, Baldmonk [link] is the master colourist who painted this sucker. Then I went and trendwhore'd it to bits to finish it off and came up with the title logo.

Yes... Well, they both have fur... So "combing" both our characters makes plenty of sense... Haha.

The whole idea is brilliant, if only one of us could be arsed drawing an entire comic book of it, or earning millions of dollars and then investing it into the movie for real - hahaha.

If only... I'm thinking of saving up and getting action figures made... Will cost quite a bit though... Maybe just resin statues... Hell, if I can be bothered learning how to sculpt, I might be able to do it myself

I told you that part of the three year course at the Freelance Animation School is making a sculpt of your characters, eh? It's meant to teach the kids to think of their flat characters as three-dimensional beings and improve their line art and character construction but all I kept thinking was "awesome, I'll end up with a Danger Cat statue!!" Haha.

I wanted to when we first moved up. I asked that since I had done Murray's class in Chch for a year and already knew the basics could I leap straight into Year Two. They weren't having any of that and wanted me to attend the full three years. At my age and with the student loan I already have I ended up buying a drawing board from them (for the photophysical advert) and never went back. But if I were younger I think I would've considered it more seriously. Their loss.

Nah, he sent it in this huge ass plastic tub thing, totally wrapped up and surrounded in foam, so it musta been bashed around to an insane degree... The tail came loose, the scabbard came off, and the handle/hilt of the sword snapped. The hilt wasn't fixable, but the handle was. If he hadn't packed it so well, it woulda been soooooooooo broken
