And so, once again, it is Easter.Danbuster wanted to come up with something original to bring all his close friends together to celebrate the occassion. Well, he happened to mention it to his family-friend and local scientist/inventor/mechanic Professor Albert Einspine, who came up with the very solution.
Being Jewish, it is at this time of year when the little grey hedgehog would celebrate Passover - which by the grand plan of the divine also coincides with the events leading up to the Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection of Christ according to Christian belief. Einspine's beliefs agree with Danbuster's, because he happens to be what's known as a Messianic Jew - that is, he also believes that Jesus is the Christ.
Anyway, the arrangements were agreed on, so Danbuster, Frederick, Spencer, Einspine and Heinrich all came to mark the Easter occassion together, bringing along some of their own friends...
Danbuster pleaded with Retsubnad to coming along. To please his brother, the dark hare eventually agreed to socialise for once.
Frederick also suggested inviting the Rudderbucks (Leroy "Hydrex" & Pearl), so the otters also came along.
Spencer, of course, asked his girlfriend Jenny along.
And a good time was had by all.

I think this is one of the few times i see a pic celebrating Passover. For a minute I thought it was gonna be a parody on The Last Supper XD.

Yes, I guess the whole Jewish thing had been developing over the years, from when I first discovered that Einstein had Jewish roots - and Einspine was sort of based on him, so it carried over.
For a few years, we did a sort of Maundy Thursday meal at our church, with the unleavened bread, lamb and suchlike - so I could say that this pic was based on true events!

one of my brothers friend has an interesting tradition
go out on friday night to the pub, gets hammered share a kebab among friends, pass out at home and on monday rise again
not sure if it is a joke but his friends have unorthdox ideas

Indeed, in our church (Baptist, BTW), we always have grape juice for the communion. Good stuff!
And being teetotal, I stick by that!

Oh my gosh! He's a Messianic??? That what me and my Mom are!!!XD We believe in both christ and God! = ) But anyway, I love the picture! It really does look like a passover meal! Ew!!>.< Bitter herbs! They really are bitter! I've tried them!@_@ And have you ever tried horse raddish? You have to eat it fast, or it'll burn your whole mouth!@_@

Yeah, for a few years running at our church, we used to have a Maundy Thursday meal with unlevened bread, roast lamb, parsley (for herbs) and bowls of olive oil. I was working pretty much from memory here.
I never actually had horse-radish. I might have tried radish and didn't like it...
Still, like the herbs, Retsy is a bitter character himself, thanks to his cruel background (which is what led him growing up to become a wizard bent on conquering the world, just so he might be respected). I guess that's why he likes the herbs!
