While this started as just a very recent spontaneous moment of inspiration that I just had to draw, it made sense that this should be a Valentine's submission - so I put other pending art on the line to get this finished.Now to think about getting back to developing "Right Said Fred" and other pencil drawings...
It was kind of interesting trying to develop a pose where Spencer and Jenny were able to cuddle intimately, yet lean their heads back far enough that their long sharp noses didn't get in the way of a romantic "held gaze"...

Every time I think of rats, it's always those two domestic ones on YouTube getting out of the cage and stealing the mail and hiding it into their cage again 
This is just adorable by the way, I do agree, rodents are cute couples usually

I was faintly amused one time when I was looking at the rats in Pets At Home one day, and some young mother passed by with her little daughter and said, "What's in here? Oooh no! Rats!" 
It's a pity they're such noted germ-carriers, because they're rather cute and fascinating creatures - the way they spend all that time washing in public, too!

Yeah, I hope Spencer and Jenny paint rats in a different light from the Black Death gave them! (Though S&J are brown rats, not black rats - even Spencer... they just come in a range of browns and greys, I think)

Yeah, not really a wild rat person but I will admit they are cute, but my word they can cause a lot of mischief, used to have a friend who had two domestic rats, they used to hide things around the house, the little monsters

full of it, love when pets have mischief and unique habits, my dad told me one time about his little dog he used to have named Gunga (a Boston Terrier) and he was given a chew toy shaped like a hammer and he loved it so much, one day a man came over to fix something and he had a toolbox with him and Gunga had stolen the hammer out of there
Never met him, was way before our time, but Boston Terriers are just nuts sometimes, they'll do anything to make us laugh, I remember when Finn did. [link] here's one example, wish this was our dog

Just like Marquila has Procella, Hydrex has Pearl, now Spencer has Jenny ^_^ I wonder if cupid's arrow was loaded with Stilton cheese that helped bring the two rats together? Either way they're made for each other ^_^

Don't worry, I had no comments from you before this...
Anyway, this was only completed a couple of days ago, so you wouldn't have seen it yet, if you were busy with other problems.
It sure seems opposites attract: a slovenly male rat with no concept of hygiene, and a prim and precise pharmacist with plenty of customer-service experience.
Seems they complete each other, somehow - or in any case, she's just the staying influence he needs, along with the moralistic Frederick!
