Yup its the season of the Big black moths (black butterflies in spanish) those things are scary and icky as F*, in Mexico they're also known as Graveyard Butterflies, indicative of a bad omen....
in this case Dan is unable to reply to the question...

It was a butterfly? That explains why I thought it looked a bit strange in the earlier pictures. I thought that it was just deliberately made to look like a butterfly so I said nothing.
Rather a pity, really. Sam looked rather cute with a (faux, as it turned out) hair ribbon.

P.S.: This twist reminds me of a comic from Monica's Gang (popular kids comic books in Brazil) where Jimmy Five (who has only 5 strands of hair) one day appeared to have 7 strands of hair, everyone thought it was really cool until he turned around. It turns out there was a cockroach resting on his head the whole day... I prefer the big black moths.
