Commissioned sketch for about Max in a toddler swing setI will admit... I overdid it for a sketch becaue I had fun =w=
Sam had found this swing in the backyard, slightly forgotten but made sure the ropes were nice and secure before cleaning it.
First it was a simple dare, Sam dared Max to try sitting in the swing, promising he would fit in it. He was against it the moment the words came out of her mouth, until they had a small bet. If Max could fit in the swing Sam could take a photo, if he couldn't fit in the swing Sam would give him her allowance for the next week
Max playing the good sport climbed in, quickly realizing two things...
One... he indeed could fit... and two..
He can't get out on his own.
Trapped, Max got angry and pouted crossing his arms annoyed at the situation he let himself be led into, he knew he could fit in, he just refused the idea for he wanted to feel big... yet, instead of the snap of an embarrassing photo, he suddenly felt movement from behind.
He fought against it, he didn't want to enjoy being in a kiddy swing, he didn't want to give in to Sam's chuckle as she pushed him, he didn't want to have fun like a toddler... but he did, for he loved to swing, to feel higher than his usual point of view, the motion, the sensation of falling and picking up speed going higher and higher, faster and faster
Before he realized he was having fun, and Sam had fun because he was having fun she completely forgot to take a photo of the rare event...
(Mom didn't forget though XwX )

Boceto comisionado para de Max atrapado en un columpio para preescolar
Admitiré que hice mucho más que un boceto por que me divertí.
Sam se encontró este columpio en el patio trasero, algo olvidado, pero ella se aseguró que las cuerdas fueran firmes y seguras antes de limpiarlo.
Empezó como un simple desafío, Sam desafió a Max a sentarse en el columpio, prometiendo que cabría en el. Max estaba en contra desde el momento que las palabras dejaron su boca, hasta que acordaron una pequeña apuesta. Si Max cabe en el columpio Sam tiene permiso de tomar una foto, si el no cabe ella le daría su mesada de la próxima semana.
Max siendo buen jugador se trepó y descubrió dos cosas rápidamente...
Una... que si cabía... y dos
No se puede salir por su cuenta
Atrapado, Max se enojo cruzando los brazos y frunciendo el ceño dándose cuenta que se dejo caer en la trampa, ya sabía que si cabía, solo rehusaba la idea por que quería sentirse grande... sin embargo, en lugar de una foto embarazosa, de pronto sintió movimiento desde atrás.
Luchó contra el sentimiento, no quería disfrutar estar en este columpio, no quería reírse con Sam mientras ella lo empujaba, el no quería divertirse como bebé... pero se rió, por que el disfruta los columpios, sentirse más alto que su punto de vista usual, el movimiento, la sensación de caer y levantar el vuelo cada vez más alto y rápido
Antes de darse cuenta se estaba divirtiendo, y Sam se divirtió por que el se divirtió, tanto así que se le olvidó tomar la foto del inusual evento...
(Pero a mamá no se le olvidó)

Awe that looks so fun. I had a swing like that growing up. I can definately believe Max getting stuck in that one. I climbed in the one at my house when I was 8 and got stuck in it. But, mine had a seatbelt in addition to the little bar on the front.
Max looks so adorable in this one. He is having a wonderful time. There's nothing wrong with being a little kid even if you are a big kid. Great picture.

There is nothing wrong with watching Dora at any age. But, I think you're right, Max probably doesn't watch it. He is too quiet and reserved.
