How do you harden your statue? Unless you don't harden it.

It never hardens!
I must make the mold and then the cast

Looks darned perfect to me!! Excellent work, the look is classic and accurate, plus I love the cape work. Must have been a bear to clean those large surfaces!

That's great. Is it a polymer clay? If it is I have some process questions for you (mine keeps getting tiny fissures in the surface . . . air bubbles?).
Anyway, excellent work.

To avoid air bubbles, you should knead the sculpey a long time before use.

I love it! what do you use as a frame for the cape? I'm currently working on a Superman at about 6 inches tall and i'm not sure how to go about making a nice flowing cape. Also, is this Super Sculpey Firm?

To make the cape, I use a clay base horizontal, then I sculpt on it.

i don't know what that means...what's a Clay base Horizontal? i usually sculpt miniatures at around an inch tall so i can use anything from aluminium foil to material to give my puddy something to hold on to, but this will not work for my 6-7 inch figures.
