Description

The hair contrast to the skin is nice, but I think you need something to connect it so it doesn't seem quite so stark. If you added a few strokes of color (don't use gray, use a warm color. you should never use black in watercolor anyway) it will connect it more and make the white look more intentional instead of unfinished.

ah, well I dont have a black watercolor to work with anyway. since me and my friend split up a set of 10, and she got black. though I can see why black would be undesirable in watercolor, and havent missed it much yet. and I do like your idea of adding color to the hair. thank you for the advice~ <3

Cool pic! I like how you left the hair completely white. It gives such stark contrast.

EVERYONE IS BETTER AT WATERCOLOR THAN SHA
I really love the crinkling on his shirt. I don't know if that was intentional or not but it looks really cool.
I also like that you left the hair white without doing anything to it, and the bright vibrant blue of the eyes ~

I'M SURE SHA IS AWESOME AT WATERCOLOR! D:
and yes, the shirt crinkling was intentional, though it didnt really go as planned (one side is darker and too wrinkled, and the purple overflowed into the skin tone) it was done by pressing plastic wrap to the watercolor. which is something that is really fun to mess around with. and the hair was left white out of laziness.

that's a neat technique, I never would have thought of doing that o:
hahaha well even if it was done out of laziness, it still looks good!
