Somewhere along the linesWe fell apart.
I don't know when
Or why
Or how it happened.
And you were a friend;
I could count on you.
Sometimes I think,
Maybe you don't.
Maybe you're just busy
Too busy to notice
I'm striving,
Craving your attention.
I want those days back
When we sat
Around a table
And a grilled cheese sandwich.
Now I don't even know
If you think of me as one.
I just wish
You weren't so different now.
I know you're not the first,
You're sure as hell
Not the last one.
I'm not gonna beg for you
I'm not gonna cry.
I'm just gonna keep going
And maybe find a new you
Somewhere along the lines.
