Description If there was no such thing as distance,
I'd be laying in the arms of my lover
Wasting the night away
Talking about the day that's past
Head on your chest
Arm on my shoulder

If there was no such thing as distance
Your hand would be in mine
Your eyes looking back at me
Waiting for their time to shine
And your lips being pressed
On the only set I have

If there was no such thing as distance
You'd be with me right now
Just here with me forever
The summer's exodus flowing in
Through the open window
And the lights way down low

If there was no such thing as distance
You and I would be together
One person, never separate
And the world turning around us
Two hearts finally combined,
But it's a shame that distance is as real
As our bitter love.
