Blankets coveringFrom head to toe.
I don't know why,
But it's easy to
Talk to a corpse.
There's always that
Feeling of trust
You always get.
They keep your secrets,
Safe with them.
Never telling anybody.
Lying in a morgue,
A casket,
Under earth and rock.
That final moment
Of being lowered in.
You just wish to talk
A little bit longer.
We shared our stories.
I verbalized,
Your face said it all.
I don't know why,
But I don't like to
Tell living people
anything.
I feel like they're
Not quiet,
Unless they're made
To do so.
And I hope someday
That when I die,
My body will be
A therapist for others.

I decided to do a series of macabre-ish poems for Halloween.
