Description The snow floats down
Falling in glossy piles
Freezing over silently.
The wind makes it all
Flutter like glistening swarms
Of delicate butterflies.

The stars twinkle
They sing as sweet as bells
Reigning down upon us
As they gloriously swell
Into tiny flakes that cover up
The shining light they give

Small, shining droplets
Of cold water
Ghost across your face
Like a specter
Flying up so high
To your favorite part of sky
A winter night so dear to you
Could only be tonight.

Thanks for the response!

I especially love the line

'To your favorite part of sky'

It may be a bit of an unhelpful comment, but the beauty of that sentence grabbed my attention so much it completely distracted me from the rest - I had to read your poem again!
It makes it sound so personal, and the whole piece somehow manages to give winter a warm feel... one of my favourites this month!

I like Alot of pretty imagery. I may hate winter, but this makes me not think of it so bad
