Spending so much time in the mirrorTrying to fix yourself up.
You realize you're still caring
About what other people think.
If you didn't care what they thought,
You wouldn't even shower.
You wouldn't even blink.
The thing is that,
Nobody really cares.
So why spend so much time convincing yourself
That people talk about your hair
And your choices of clothing?
I have the answer.
Because we are self-obsessed
And think that everyone else cares
About what we wear
And our hair
As much as we think they do.
See, I couldn't tell you what I wore yesterday.
I think maybe I'm quitting the whole "self-involvement" thing.

I Do see what you mean. You're right...Maybe it's about wanting to be around others, you know, "showering",
otherwise they don't wanna be around you? And the clothes thing: Maybe it's about getting along with one's
peers...sorta. I didn't care a wit about Style and fashion, when in H.S., I got teased and hassled about what I
wore. So I gave up and got more "in-style" clothes because I got so sick of hearing about it...
However, that doesn't make me wonderful, I was a materialistic bastard.
