full view is really a must if you like bloodWell, i've been watching lots of samurai hardcore movies, with bloody scenes.. can you tell ? the thing is that a day ago i watched "zatoichi: the blind swordsman" and it was a visual orgasm.. i HAD to do something with the theme.. and here it is.
Quick vector piece, simple but it speaks by itself. I really don't have to tell you what happened there.. you can see it for yourself.
Done in illustrator CS 100% - little reference for thie piece, like my hand on the floor and the bridge.

I love the contrast in this piece. The red really jumps out and grabs me. I like the subtlety of the clouds in the background too.
When I saw the thumbnail I knew I just had to look at this. It's simple and yet beautiful at the same time.
By the way, I like the color version better but the greyscale version is very nice too.

The contrast between the red blood and the gray setting is great! Gives the whole scene a SinCity sort of look. I dunno if that was your intention or not, but great job!

I like the picture by the intense atmosphere it radiats. The contrast of the early morning and the early morningfog combined with the intense red of the blood give the drawing a strong feeling of realism. +fav, great work.

It gives off this early morning sence, on a foggy and overcast day. Over all it's a great picture, and it dose give off the sence of those old samurai films. ^^

I like the one with the red...gives it more pizazz and more of a symbolic meaning....kind-of like the girl in the red coat in Speilberg's Schneidler's List.
Overall, I think you did a nice job with the shadows and balancing everything out and since the Eastern world is somewhat focused on balance, it adds to your picture.
