Well, I mostly used my normal techniques to do this; burn tool to shade, dodge to add shine. I got a little lazy when I started to shade robin... that wasn't fair. Im sowy robin!! *glomps robin*

The glowing wasn't hard.... I just selected the birthmarks, duplicated them on a new layer, added a red outer glow, and then applied a gaussian blur to them. All in all, it came out pretty darn good in my humble opinion. ^_^
